I started my new barista job yesterday. Needless to say, nothing could ever compare to my one and only, my Prime Roast.
They are impressed by what abilities I have in the latte art department, and have already shown me all there is to know about the shop. I’m having an okay time with it because I am meeting new people and not sitting in my apartment watching movies and trashy TV Series on DVD.
Today I was grinding a batch of the house blend when I was struck by a wave of homesickness. I missed the mangled quarter that hangs around Prime Roast’s grinder. I missed everything about Prime Roast. I almost started crying just because I wasn’t there…
I miss every person associated with Prime Roast: the guys that bring us pastries and paper goods, the regulars, the neighboring merchants, the staff… the people I’ve never met that found our blog by chance while doing a google search… I miss YOU!
I’ll be making a visit very soon, so you best not forget me before then!
LOVE!

Prime Roast is a special place because of the people who work here in the history of Prime Roast I can’t remember a more dynamic duo that Aly and Lucy*. Aly is now Miss Frank and she is teaching fifth grade in Walpole. Lucy is moving to the Portsmouth area. I know you all will miss them but I will miss them most of all. I’m sure you all wish them the best in their future lives but the hell with that I want them back. Love you Superstars!!!

This is Lucy, this is Lucy making drinks a huge mess. Her methods may be untraditional but her drinks are like taking a dip in a stream with a cute boy on a beautiful day while listening to the Talking Heads; in a word perfect. Don't be afraid just keep your distance.

Deb drove from Killington to have a mochaccino at Prime Roast, now that's a testimonial. We use Ghirardelli chocolate blended with a perfect shot of our Espresso Blend topped with steamed milk and a billow of foam. It's worth the drive see ya soon.

Kate made a special trip in to Prime Roast so she could bring her boyfriend Rob some Demon Roast on a recent visit. Rob is away studying at Culinary Institute of America and he's jonesing for Demon Roast. Kate's great and so we've made her the customer of the week but she won't deliver for you so you'll have to come in yourself.
